Country Bakery was founded by Manfred and Meta Gros. Manfred spent years learning his craft as a baker, pastry chef and chocolatier in both Germany and Switzerland. This young Swiss-trained pastry chef brought his vision of European style baking to Canada, using only the best quality products. In 1974, Country Bakery was founded. “This little bakery” provided an unforgettable legacy to his son, Marvin, and daughter-in-law, Heidrun, who had carefully preserved his tradition of excellence and his treasured recipes. Our customers have been enjoying the best breads, buns, donuts, cakes, pastries, and chocolates for over 40 years. Marvin and Heidrun have since retired from the bakery business, but Heidrun has continued to offer personalized handcrafted Easter bunnies and handcrafted chocolates to the Okanagan area. We are proud of what we have created, with love for your family to enjoy.
